Pricing

One scale, from a one-page site to a system with logins.

The price is set by what the site has to do, not by how many pages it has. A booking system and a one-page brochure are not the same amount of work, and quoting them as though they were is how people end up either overcharged or disappointed.

So when someone asks “do you do websites or apps?” — it is the same scale. Websites are the bottom. Apps are the top.

The scale

The four levels.

Level 4

System

Logins, data, and a back office. This is software, not a brochure.

$4,000+
written spec required before any work starts
Care plan $150+/mo scoped to the system

Built as: An application on the web

For: You have outgrown websites entirely and need a tool.

What is included

  • Everything in Transactional
  • Customer accounts, secure login, and permissions
  • Data you own and can export — customers, orders, inventory
  • Back-office screens for the parts you run day to day
  • Written specification agreed before a line of code is written
Talk to us about Level 4
50% up front, always. The rest at launch. It is non-refundable, because the work starts the day you pay.
$500 never goes up. It is the entry point, and it stays the entry point. Margin lives further up the scale.
Levels 3 and 4 are quoted per project. In phases, after a written spec. Never as a flat number on a phone call.
Find your level

Four questions. Stop at the first yes.

You do not need to work out what you need before you get in touch — this is just to give you an idea of where a project usually lands.

Question 1 of 4

Will customers need to log in, or will you need to store and manage their data?

Logins and stored customer data mean software, not a website.

The same thing in words

  1. 1. If you need logins or to store customer data — Level 4.
  2. 2. If you need people to book or pay online — Level 3.
  3. 3. If you are losing to a specific competitor whose site looks better — Level 2.
  4. 4. If you just need to be found and called — Level 1.
  5. 5. If you are not sure — Level 1. It is cheap, it works, and it can grow.

You do not need to learn a website builder. Do not. Just send us a message.

Care plans

The monthly fee is what makes the design fee a one-time cost.

A website is not a thing you buy once. It is a thing that has to keep working — while the hosting company changes its prices, the certificate expires, a plugin gets abandoned, or a form quietly stops sending.

The care plan is what stops your site becoming one of those sites where the phone number is wrong and nobody has noticed for a year. It covers hosting, security, backups, monitoring, and the small changes that keep the site true.

At Levels 3 and 4 the care plan is not optional. A payment system nobody is looking after is not a product, it is a liability with your name on it.

Level Monthly Yearly
Presence $40/mo or $440/yr
Marketing $60/mo or $660/yr
Transactional $100/mo or $1,100/yr
System $150+/mo scoped to the system
Paying yearly saves you roughly a month. Either way, existing clients keep the rate they signed up on.
Extras

Anything outside a level is priced on its own.

Nothing gets bundled into a level and quietly marked up later. If you want one of these, it appears on the quote as its own line.

Content writing $75–150 per page
Photography $250–500 per day
Logo or brand refresh $300–800
Google Business Profile setup $250
Business email setup $150
Menu or price-list entry $100 per 25 items
Search foundation (titles, descriptions, listings) $350
Extra page $100–200
Rush turnaround +25%
Questions

The things people actually ask.

Why is this more than the $500 website I saw advertised?

Because the $500 website is usually the start of a bill, not the end of one. Somewhere in the small print there is a hosting charge, or a per-change fee, or the domain is registered in someone else’s name. Our $500 is a complete, working, hosted, maintained site at Level 1. If that is all you need, that is all you pay.

What exactly does the monthly care plan cover?

Hosting, the SSL certificate, backups, software and security updates, monitoring so we find out a site is down before you do, and small changes. If something on your site breaks, we fix it — that is the point of the plan. Content that is genuinely new work is quoted separately so neither of us is guessing.

Do I own my domain and my content?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name and the content is yours. If you ever decide to go elsewhere, you take both with you. We would rather earn the next year than hold your website hostage.

Can I update the site myself?

You can, and we will show you how. But most of our clients would rather send a message, and that is included in the care plan. The whole idea is that you do not have to learn a website builder to run your business.

How long does it take?

A Level 1 site is usually live within a week. Level 2 takes two to three weeks. Levels 3 and 4 are scoped in phases and we give you dates in writing before we start, because guessing at a timeline is how projects drift.

What if I need something you have not listed?

Ask. We would rather tell you honestly that something is outside what we do than take the job and learn on your money. If it is a good fit we will quote it; if it is not, we will often know someone who is right for it.

Get started

Not sure which level? That is normal.

Describe the business and what you want the site to do. We will tell you which level it lands in and what it costs — and if what you actually need is cheaper than you expected, we will say that too.

I usually reply within a couple of hours during the day.

If you want a fast answer

  • What your business does — in one sentence, the way you would say it out loud.
  • What you want the site to do — get calls, take bookings, show a menu, answer questions before people ring you.
  • Whether you already have a domain, or a site you are unhappy with.
  • Rough timing — most sites are ready inside a week or two.
